Poolside composite deck rebuild, Green Point
- Decks in Green Point
- Gosford and surrounds

The brief
What the site asked for
The original timber deck surrounding the pool had reached the end of its life — boards were split and rotting, and the structure beneath had been sitting in constant pool splash and ground moisture for years. Nothing was salvageable, so a surface-level repair was never on the table. The pool, coping and existing levels all had to be worked around exactly as they stood.

How we built it
We fully demolished the existing deck and removed the old structure, then set new footings and built a fresh treated pine subframe engineered around the pool shell and set out for correct falls and ventilation. Ekodeck composite boards were then laid to a clean, continuous run around the pool perimeter, with the octagonal coping picked up in mitred board runs so every edge lands square. New treated pine garden edging ties the deck into the surrounding landscaping, and the composite surface removes the annual oiling and splintering that comes with hardwood in a pool environment.
Before & after
Same footprint, different structure underneath.
