1. Who we are
RD Construction Co, 4 Childs Close, Green Point NSW 2251. Phone 0492 883 100, email Ryan@rdconstructionco.com.au. We are responsible for the personal information we collect through this website and in the course of quoting and carrying out building work.
2. What personal information we collect
- Identity and contact details — your name, phone number and email address, submitted through our consultation, online quote or builder enquiry forms.
- Property information — the address or suburb of the site, access details, and information about the existing structure.
- Photos and measurements — images and dimensions you upload for a remote quote, and photos we take on site during a measure or build.
- Project preferences — budget range, timeframe, materials and other details you tell us about the job.
- Payment details — where card payments are offered, these are collected and processed by our payment provider (Stripe). We do not see or store full card numbers.
- Technical and usage data — IP address, browser type, pages visited and similar analytics data, where you have consented to analytics cookies.
We only collect information that is reasonably necessary for our work. You can choose not to give us some details, but that may limit our ability to quote accurately.
3. How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiry and prepare a quote or scope of work.
- To arrange site visits, order materials and carry out the build.
- To issue contracts, invoices and receipts and to take payment.
- To keep records required under NSW home building and tax law.
- To show completed work in our portfolio or marketing — only with your permission for identifiable photos or addresses.
- To improve the website and understand how it is used, where you have consented to analytics.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for unrelated direct marketing without your consent. You can opt out of any marketing contact at any time by replying to the message or emailing us.
4. Who we share it with
We disclose personal information only where it is needed to do the job or where the law requires it. That may include:
- Subcontractors and our carpentry crews working on your project.
- Engineers, certifiers and council, where approval or design input is required.
- Suppliers, for ordering and delivering materials to your address.
- Service providers who host this website, store our data and send our email notifications, and Stripe for payment processing.
- Our accountant, insurer or legal advisers where reasonably necessary.
Some of these providers may store data on servers outside Australia. Where that happens we take reasonable steps to ensure the information is handled consistently with the APPs.
5. Storage and security
Enquiry records, photos and job files are held in access-controlled cloud services and on our business devices. This website is served over HTTPS, so information you submit is encrypted in transit. We take reasonable steps to protect information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, and we destroy or de-identify information when it is no longer needed and we are no longer required to keep it.
6. Cookies and analytics
We use cookies that are strictly necessary for the site to function. Any analytics or advertising cookies are only set after you accept them in our cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time using the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer, or by clearing cookies in your browser.
7. Accessing and correcting your information
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by emailing Ryan@rdconstructionco.com.au. We will respond within a reasonable period, usually within 30 days. If we refuse access or correction we will explain why in writing.
8. Complaints
If you think we have mishandled your personal information, contact us first and we will investigate. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always available on this page, with the date it was last updated shown above.
