Terms & Conditions
These terms apply to quotes and work carried out by RD Construction Co (ABN 63 624 151 424), NSW Contractor Licence 364031C. Where a signed contract for your project says something different, that contract takes priority.

1. Enquiries and quotes
Any figure given by phone, email or through the online quote form is an estimate based on the information supplied. A firm price is issued only in a written quote following an on-site measure. Quotes are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise, and assume normal site access and no undisclosed conditions.
2. Accepting a quote
A quote is accepted when you confirm it in writing (email or signed quote) and pay the deposit. At that point we issue a written contract setting out the scope, inclusions, exclusions, progress payment stages and the expected start window. Work is scheduled in the order deposits are received.
3. Deposit and payments
- A deposit of 10% of the contract price is payable on acceptance. It secures your place in the schedule and covers initial material ordering and administration.
- Progress payments are invoiced at the stages set out in your contract, in line with the NSW Home Building Act 1989.
- The balance is due on practical completion, before handover.
- Invoices are payable within 7 days. Overdue amounts may pause work until the account is brought up to date.
- Card payments, where offered, are processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details.
4. Cancellation and refunds
- Before materials are ordered or the schedule is affected — if you withdraw within 7 days of paying the deposit and we have not ordered materials or turned away other work for your slot, we refund the deposit less a $250 administration fee covering design, measure and quoting time.
- After materials are ordered or your slot is locked in — the deposit is not refundable, as it has been committed to materials, engineering, approvals and the reserved build window. If our committed costs are less than the deposit, we refund the difference.
- After work has started — you may cancel in writing. You remain liable for work completed, materials purchased or ordered specifically for your job, and any unavoidable third-party costs. Any amount paid beyond that is refunded.
- If we cancel — if we can no longer carry out the work, we refund your deposit in full less the value of any work already completed.
Refunds are paid to the original payment method within 14 days of the amount being agreed. Nothing in this section limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law or the NSW Home Building Act.
5. Variations and unknown conditions
Changes to the scope after acceptance are priced and confirmed in writing before the work is carried out. If we uncover conditions that could not reasonably be seen at the measure — rot beyond the exposed structure, unmarked services, unstable ground, or non-compliant existing work — we will stop, explain the options and price the additional work before continuing.
6. Approvals, site access and safety
You are responsible for providing safe and reasonable access to the site, for disclosing the location of services and any known site hazards, and for obtaining owners corporation or neighbour consents where they apply. We handle engineering and council documentation where the quote says so. The work area must be clear of furniture, plants and pets before we start.
7. Timeframes
Start dates and durations are estimates given in good faith. Weather, material lead times, approvals and conditions found on site can shift them. We keep you informed of any change to the program.
8. Warranty and materials
Our workmanship is covered by the statutory warranty periods under the NSW Home Building Act 1989. Manufacturer warranties on timber, composite boards, fixings and hardware are passed through to you. Timber is a natural product: colour variation, movement and surface weathering are normal and are not defects. Ongoing maintenance — oiling, cleaning and periodic checks — is the owner's responsibility.
9. Photography and privacy
We photograph our work for records and, with your permission, for our portfolio and marketing. We do not publish your name or street address without consent. Personal information is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
10. Liability and governing law
We are not liable for loss arising from information you have supplied that is inaccurate or incomplete, or from work carried out by others. Our liability is otherwise limited to the extent permitted by law. These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales.
